This Privacy Policy explains how AssetFix.me collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the Service (free beta) on iOS, Android, or the web.
Account & identity: name, email address, user ID, tenant membership, and role (e.g., Owner/Manager/Technician).
Customer Data you submit: assets (names, codes, locations, notes), service requests, tasks, statuses, comments, and photos/files you upload.
Technical/usage data: logs such as approximate IP address, timestamps, device/app info, security/diagnostic logs, and crash data (if enabled).
Support communications: messages and attachments you send to support@assetfix.me.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as biometric identifiers, precise location tracking, or health data). However, you may choose to upload photos or text that include such information as part of your Customer Data.
We use data to operate the Service (authentication, permissions, workflows), store and display history and attachments, respond to support, secure the Service and prevent abuse, and debug/improve reliability (especially during beta).
AssetFix.me may request access to your device camera and/or photo library only when you choose to add an attachment (for example, a photo of an asset, a maintenance request, or proof of work). We do not access your camera or photos in the background.
You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings (iOS/Android). If you do, you can still use the Service, but you may not be able to add photo attachments.
Photo metadata: images may contain metadata (such as date/time and, depending on your device settings, location). We do not intentionally use photo metadata for tracking.
Attachments (photos/files) you upload are stored in our cloud storage. They are displayed only to users within the same Tenant who have permission to view the related asset or request (based on role and access rules).
Attachments may contain personal data (including images of people or private property). You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and lawful basis to capture and upload such content.
If you enable notifications, we may send push notifications related to service requests (e.g., assignment, status changes, comments). Notification delivery typically requires a device notification token provided by your operating system (iOS/Android). You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.
Where GDPR/UK GDPR or similar laws apply, we process data based on contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security and improvement), consent (where required), and legal obligations (where required).
If you use AssetFix.me through an organization (Tenant), that Tenant may be the data controller for Customer Data, and AssetFix.me may act as a processor. Tenant admins control access and the data entered into the system.
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers (hosting, storage, authentication, email, analytics) solely to operate the Service; with authorities if legally required; or as part of a business transfer with safeguards.
Service providers may include: cloud hosting, database and file storage, authentication providers, email delivery, and crash/diagnostic tools.
Data may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards.
We retain data as needed to provide the Service, secure and improve it, and comply with legal obligations. During beta, deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period.
If your account is part of a Tenant, the Tenant administrator may control retention and deletion for Customer Data within that Tenant.
We use reasonable security measures (access controls, encryption in transit, role-based permissions). No system is completely secure.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or request portability. If your account is managed by a Tenant, some requests may need to be handled through the Tenant administrator.

The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time and will update the effective date.
